By: Emily Dammeyer, Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce On April 7, in the heart of downtown Toledo, EPIC members, community and business leaders came together at One Lake Erie Center to celebrate EPIC Toledo’s tenth anniversary at the annual EPIC Toledo Birthday Bash. Nearly 500 young professionals attended the event and enjoyed a surprise menu from Murray’s On-the-Go, a new downtown business that revealed their concept during the VIP Pre-Party, presented by Yark Automotive Group.

Stark, P.E. has been named the 2017 Toledo Area Engineer of the Year in recognition of his commitment to the profession. This award is presented annually to a member of the engineering community in recognition of the accomplishments and achievements that he or she has made to the engineering profession and the community. Dan is currently the senior preconstruction and operations leader for the GEM Process Solutions (GPS) team.

Hale Performance Coatings, Inc. Celebrates 61 Years with Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce3/14/2017 Hale Performance Coatings, Inc. has been in business for 88 years. The company began in 1929 under the name “Hale Chrome Service,” and has been serving the Toledo Region manufacturing economy ever since. For 61 of those 88 years, Hale Performance Coatings has been a valuable member of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. The family business is now in its third generation of ownership and has expanded their services to serve a 350 mile target base, even serving the international community in Canada. Toledo is Home to Creative TalentBy: Emily Dammeyer, Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce Sixteen of our members were recognized for more than thirty awards this year at the 2017 Toledo American Advertising Awards. This year nine member projects were awarded the coveted Gold Addy, which is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and judged to be superior to all other entries (AAFToledo.com). These entries will be immediately entered into the district competition for a chance to eventually receive national recognition. Congratulations to all!
Steve Hanson, president and CEO Hanson, Inc., received special recognition with the Silver Medal Award. This award is given to a member of the local advertising community that has made generous contributions to their company, displayed exceptional creative ability, worked to advance the field of advertising, and actively contributed to the community. Congratulations Steve and thank you for all you do. This year the following Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce Members received Gold Addy Awards: February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month. To celebrate, we highlighted area schools that are providing excellent educational opportunities in CTE. CTE covers a variety of fields, including health care, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, business, cosmotolgy and many more.
