The 17th edition of the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce’s public service leadership program is set to begin in January 2018. Every year, the program graduates individuals representing a cross-section of the area who go on to improve the region and advance their own professional goals. The program is the longest running of its kind in the state. To date, more than 300 leaders from around the Toledo Region have graduated from the program.

Obstacle 1: Proof of Experience “As an advisor with the Small Business Development Center, I see a number of small businesses who come to us because they went to their local bank and said simply ‘I want a loan to start a business,’” says Chambers. The bank will want to see proof of experience in the industry that they are planning to start their venture. Last Tuesday, passengers boarded the inaugural flight from Toledo Express Airport to Charlotte, North Carolina. American Airlines will be offering the flight twice daily, departing Toledo at 7:00 a.m. and 1:26 p.m. A recent study shows that the flight will provide a $15.4 million economic impact annually.

Impact Ohio began in 1984 with the first Post-Election Conference held in Columbus, Ohio. Every even numbered year since, Impact Ohio has held a Post-Election Conference and every year the attendance has grown.
Over the years, Post-Election Conference has become a staple on Cap Square. Leaders, professionals, and experts in their fields greet and gather at the conference to explore elections, the outcomes of the political process, and policy choices facing Ohio and its communities. |
